Premium General Insurance

PREMIUM® V1.13 is a second-generation, on-line, fully integrated insurance system designed and developed for general insurance companies. It is used by all existing customers except Liberty Mutual China, United Overseas Insurance Singapore; Zambia State Insurance and Quality Insurance Zimbabwe. PREMIUM® was actively marketed from 1992 and is being replaced by ODYSSEY® since 2003.

PREMIUM® covers all the major activities for your company - underwriting, claims, cover - note control, re-insurance, statistics, accounts and general ledger.

PREMIUM®, originally designed to run in the IBM mini-computer environment, can operate across several platforms, operating systems and network protocols. These environments include Windows, Windows NT, the UNIX, operating systems; and local area networks using protocols such as TCP/IP, NetBIOS and DECnet. The database management system is based on a client/server architecture and offers multi-threaded processing, security control and automatic crash recovery.

The PREMIUM® System can accommodate any class of business including new business classes. This is achieved by use of parameters which allow the user to increase productivity and efficiency. It is a very intuitive package with on-line help and documentation on every item to be entered, which eliminates the need for bulky manuals.
